Freud’s couch, from a postcard. The rug on the headboard is an unusal one from central Turkey. It seems to be a Mudjar/Kirsehir or Karapinar type. The rug in the foreground is from the Shiraz area of  Persia sometimes called “Shekarlu” a Qashqa’i tribe.
