This room belonged to Mrs.Elliott of New York City, 1902 and can be found in the book “Joesph Byron, Photographs of New York Interiors at the Turn of the Century” text by Clay Lancaster. Dover Publications,
pl53, 1976.
The kelim on the couch is from central Turkey, possibly Sivrihisar. The pillow is made from a Kashmir Shawl. Although the rug on the floor is referred to as Caucasian in the book, it looks more like it too
is from Turkey (maybe even a prayer rug?).
